I was in the grocery store the other day and was upset because they were out of eggs. Out of eggs...that's a basic staple! With all the news about gas and food prices rising, and the coming demise of our economy, it's easy to forget that it's really not that bad. I can drive to another store to get eggs. I have a roof over my head, and a basic education. I have a career that I enjoy and I can (usually) pay my bills. I have a life that allows me to accumulate bills!
We should all be so lucky.

It's a good reminder on perspective. When we can still afford to fill our cars up, despite rising gas prices, we need to remember how fortunate we are. I thought of that today when I gasped at the dollar amount on the gas pump and realized that there are probably people who just can't afford to drive now. We live in a blessed nation.
